Dominican Republic 2006 My Birthday happens to fall on the very same day that Independence Day is celebrated in DR. February 27th is a very important, historical day, a day of carnival and the beginning of celebration filled with Dominican pride. Almost every dominican New York native has told me "your dominican and you have never traveled to your own country" and when I tell them the date of my birthday they say I have no idea what I am missing. Boy were they right! Its a place in this world that really felt like home, that felt like I belonged and it made sense. I was so enchanted by the beauty, the people, the food, the music, the culture, and their way of life. Though it was all new to me it did not feel distant in anyway. 2006 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2006 MTV Video Music Awards will be held at New York's Radio City Music Hall on Thursday, August 31. Yes ladies and gentlemen this Thursday I will be attending the MTV video music awards @ Radio City Music Hall and I am so excited!! I have no idea what to wear. It has been a dream of mine to attend this award show ofcourse in the dream I was a celebrity myself but hey just going is good enough at this point. Some of my favorite artist like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, & Shakira will be performing. Maybe I’ll even bump into Miss Janet Jackson again! Anyway I am taking my friend Vivika and Boyfriend of almost four years Ruben. Unfortunately MTV does not permit cameras inside the show so I don’t know what I am going to do as far as pictures. A Mother's Unconditional Love For Her Gay Son.

I am very thankful for the physical relationship I had with my mother. We had an incredibly strong bound and shared so much love, gratitude, heart, admiration, tenderness and openness. She was literally my very best friend, and in every sense I was or am a mamma's boy. I shared every important personal detail with her and nothing was left unsaid. I ran to her for everything and there she would be, always ready with arms wide open. It wasn't a perfect journey but we managed to get to this special place where all was well with us and we could gently smile or laugh about each others inadequacies, as if they were new. My mother always supported me and loved me unconditionally and in return I tried to be a great son, she deserved that. I am so thankful to god for that.
